House Bill 2978 - Texas Neurodiagnostic Technologists Bill

Representative Greg Bonnen, a neurosurgeon, introduced House Bill 2978 on behalf of the Texas Neurodiagnostic Society. It would establish qualifications for and oversight of individuals who practice neurodiagnostic procedures. It would grant the Texas Medical Board to determine qualifications of those applying for licenses to practice neurodiagnostic procedures.

As the credentialing coordinator, there are many times when the department is called upon to ensure a tech and reader are admitted to a hospital in order to assist a surgeon with a last-minute surgical case.
